About Our Partners

London Youth

London Youth is a vibrant network of more than 400 community organisations serving 75,000 young people and their families in every London borough.

Our vision is of a great world city in which every young person, whatever their background is valued and challenged to become the best they can be. Our mission is to improve services and opportunities for young people.

We want everyone growing up in and around London to enjoy access to high quality youth work ‐ structured, developmental activities, someone to talk to, information and guidance ‐ all within a safe, stimulating and supportive environment. We work with young people in all their brilliant diversity, placing a particular emphasis on those who are disadvantaged or at risk. We put young people at the forefront of our decision‐making.

Our membership organisations range from large professional agencies to grassroots clubs run on a shoestring: they are at work every day and every night, in neighbourhoods across the capital...

Greater London Authority

It is the job of the Mayor's Children and Young People's Unit to give young people and children the opportunity to have a say about London. Our Unit wants to make sure that young Londoners have access to the decision makers and can shape policies that will affect you. We also want to ensure that you have more access to open and play spaces and that you feel safe in your community.

The Mayor's Children and Young People's Unit, was formed in April 2004. The team is based at City Hall. It consists of the Lynk‐up Crew, a group of 20 7 to 15 year‐olds who act as mini‐ advisors, and also the Peer Outreach Team ‐ a group of 35 young people aged between 15 and 24, who promote the work of the Unit and inform young Londoners of their rights.

We have a website dedicated to giving you a voice and promoting participation of young Londoners in projects, events and dialogue with key people at a London level.

FUTUREVERSITY

We are proud that our unrivalled and diverse range of excellent educational and vocational opportunities have been identified by young people, for young people. Futureversity programmes are coordinated schemes run by Local Authorities and Charities which provide exciting, innovative and educational courses; most courses are free and open to any young person.

Involving young people is at the heart of what Futureversity does and key to its success. Local Futureversity programmes run youth advisory groups where young people have a say in the programme content and how it’s delivered. Futureversity programmes also offer peer mentoring schemes, where young people complete accredited training and go on to help coordinate the programmes, learning skills in leadership, team building and conflict resolution.
